Mimmi & Kajsa

I have two new rodent buddies! Smaller ones this time, in the shape of two lady mice called Mimmi and Kajsa. (Mimmi Pigg = Minnie Mouse. Kajsa Anka = Daisy Duck.) Officially they are not mine; they are my niece Miranda's (and she is the one who named them), but I'm keeping them at my place and will be doing most of the caretaking. The plan is that she will come over to clean the cage, but we'll see about that. ;) Mostly I just use Miranda's love of mice as an excuse to have some around again. Mice are one of the most perfect things in the world if you ask me, and I can stare at them for a million years. (THEIR PAWS, YOU GUYS. THEY ARE THE SMALLEST PAWS.) I like solid colour ones the most, so I'm extra glad these were the only available ones, hehe.

They are very brave and fun! They gnawed their way out of the box we got them in on the way home, and making sure they didn't disappear in the dark car was quite the challenge.

They only have a small tank so far, and I intend to get a bigger one tomorrow. Miranda has drawn posters for them; one of a tulip and one of a purple piece of cheese with three mice peeking out the holes. :D

Like the rats they are not afraid of Jacobim at all, and he loves them. I don't trust him around them the way I do with the rats though, so they won't be seeing much of each other. I think the rats are big enough for him to think of them as weird puppies, but the mice are a bit more bite-sized.
